What do you enjoy about being a Crystal Head Vodka Brand Ambassador?
I just love educating people on our fine spirits. Getting people to realize that vodka is so much more than a “neutral grain spirit.” Plus, Crystal Head truly is a great tasting vodka, so that’s a big perk of the job.
Tell us something special about yourself?
I’m just a regular hard-working guy from Newfoundland, Canada. I’ve been in the industry for around 14 years and worked in almost every position in a restaurant. I've gone from the dish pit all the way up to management, and worked as a Bar Manager for 5 different bars/restaurants between St. John’s and Toronto. I’ve also won bartending competitions that have allowed me to travel and meet so many talented people.
What does Creative Spirit mean to you?
To me, Creative Spirit means to not be afraid to take a chance and make a mistake. You never really know what will work unless you give it a try. You can’t hit the ball without swinging the bat. If you are turned away, you just have to think of a new and creative way how to re-approach the task at-hand. This can also apply in finding other ways to enjoy our spirits. We’ve actually been trying to find more food related uses for our award-winning vodka such as pasta sauces, homemade ice cream, etc., which brings a whole new outlet of creativity to our brand.

What's your favourite original Crystal Head Vodka cocktail?
One of my favourite Crystal Head cocktails I've created is one I call the “Crystal Pete,” which is a play on the original cocktail I made years ago called “The Pistol Pete.” This is a cold coffee cocktail that’s sweeping the nation, I mean its building-wide famous!
1 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
¾ oz. Rum Chata
½ oz. Kahlua ( or other Premium Coffee-Based Liqueur)
3 oz. Chilled Black Coffee
Shake ingredients on ice and strain into a Collins glass with ice. Garnish with an orange zest and some freshly grated nutmeg.
