David Sikora joined the industry in 2003, working in bars for many years before joining the Crystal Head Vodka team as a US Brand Ambassador. This year, David is celebrating his four-year anniversary of being a part of the Crystal Head team. David is an experienced bartender, having opened his first bar when he was thirty, followed by three others since. He is also an advocate for the LGTBQ+ community, and a friendly face you may recognize from our Instagram Live segments! Get to know a little more about David through his experiences in the industry.

What do you enjoy about being a Crystal Head Vodka Brand Ambassador?

The brand is fun, inclusive and Crystal Head makes amazing cocktails. I truly love the vodka which is a great part in working for the brand.

 

What is your favourite city you have visited for work and why?

It has to be our home base in Toronto. It’s so fun to visit other cities, but there’s nothing like the experience of seeing how the brand is used in accounts in a different country. 

 

What inspires you, and what does Creative Spirit mean to you?

Creativity is such a motivator for me. When I see creativity in people, it gets brought out in me as well. It inspired me to want to me more creative and to think differently. Luckily, we are Vodka for the Creative Spirit! To me, that means being able to look at things in new ways, and expressing it as an individual. Creativity can come out in so many forms, and a creative spirit is one who is not afraid to go against the grain.

Your favourite original Crystal Head Vodka cocktail?

The Golden Pineapple

1 ½ oz. Crystal Head Vodka

1 ½ oz. Pineapple Juice

¾ oz. Lemon Juice

1 Bar Spoon Powdered Sugar

 

How To:

Build in a glass without ice. Add all ingredients and stir until powdered sugar froths. Add ice and top with soda water.
